The short version
We drew 100 studios and agencies that do brand and web work from the Awwwards directory and from published "best agency" lists, then read each homepage and its likely pricing pages in October 2026. 86 sites could be read without JavaScript.
Only 8 of 86 (9%) put a number on their own work anywhere we looked. None of the 16 American studios did, and none of the 15 in the EU. India was the exception: 5 of 18 studios there publish a price, and 4 of those 5 quote it in US dollars. Most sites say nothing about money at all: 80% of the readable ones give no price, no ballpark and no "request a quote" line, just a contact form.
Every published price, against the market
Each line is a studio's own price for its own work, in US dollars on a log scale. The shaded bands are the typical studio and agency ranges from our cost guides.

4 of the 5 Indian studios that publish a price quote it in US dollars, a pitch to buyers abroad. By source, 7 of 70 independent studios publish a price and 1 of 16 established agencies do, and that one is for brochure design. The groups are small, so read the gaps as direction, not precision.
How studios talk about price
When a number does appear, it is usually a floor: the least you will pay, not what your project will cost.
Among the 8 that publish a price
- 4 Starting from
Starts at: $1000
Right Hemisphere - 2 Monthly subscription
$5,000 / per month
CREATIVECUE - 2 Typical range
$20,000 to $250,000
Flowtrix - 1 Fixed package
Lite Plan $999 /Month
TheFinch Design - 1 Minimum budget
a minimum starting budget of £5,000

Among the 86 we could read
- 3 Hint only
generally start in the mid-five figures
Manufactur - 6 "Get a quote" only
Get a Quote
the most common wording - 69 Contact form only No price, no hint, no quote line
A studio can use more than one form. Timelines are as rare as prices: 8 of 86 sites say how long a project takes.
If you're hiring a studio
- Will I see a price before the first call?
- Almost certainly not. 91% of the sites we could read don't publish one. Bring a budget range instead: studios price around scope, so giving them a number is the fastest way to get one back. Our website and brand identity cost guides give typical 2026 ranges by who does the work.
- Is a "from" price what I'll pay?
- No. It's the smallest project the studio will take. The one studio that publishes a full range shows how wide the gap can be: from $20,000 for a growth-stage website to $250,000 for an enterprise one.
- How long will it take?
- Ask in the same breath as the price. Only 9% publish a timeline, and where they do, a brand identity or a website lands between four and sixteen weeks.
- How do I compare quotes?
- Turn them into the same unit first. A monthly subscription, a day rate and a fixed project price are different things. A studio that explains what drives its price will usually explain the rest of the project too. Here is how we price our own work.
How we did it
80 studios come from the Awwwards agency directory: for each country we took evenly spaced entries down its listing, rather than only the most awarded at the top, and dropped individuals, products and entries without a working website. 20 more, four per region, are the first region-based agencies on published best-agency lists. It is a deliberate spread across 5 regions, not a random sample of every studio.
For each studio a script fetched the homepage, /pricing, /services,
/packages, /work-with-us and up to four more links that looked like pricing. One
request at a time per site, no logins, no JavaScript, and every request named us in its user agent. We
checked every extracted price by hand and threw out funding rounds, client results and market averages
quoted in blog posts. Only a price for the studio's own work counts.
One snapshot, fetched in October 2026 from India. A price on a page we did not fetch, or one that only appears after JavaScript runs, is missed, so read 9% as what a quick visit shows, not a census of every page.
