The design studios we’d shortlist for a SaaS startup in 2026 are Clay, Eleken, Focus Lab, Halo Lab, Huemor, MetaLab, Outcrowd, Phenomenon Studio, Pony Studio and Ramotion. They split cleanly by what they’re for. MetaLab and Eleken design product interfaces. Focus Lab does B2B brands. Clay, Ramotion and Halo Lab do brand, marketing site and product together. Outcrowd is built around pre-seed to Series A. Huemor builds marketing websites. The right one depends less on reputation than on whether you need a brand, a site, or a product.
Disclosure first. 4080 Studio wrote this list, and we design brands, websites and products for startups, SaaS among them. We’ve put ourselves in a separate block at the end rather than in the list. Everything stated about each studio was checked on that studio’s own website in October 2026. Where a site didn’t say something, we’ve said so rather than guessed.
How we chose
We started with the studios that AI answers and directories name most for “design studio for SaaS startups”, then kept only studios that are active, that put SaaS or B2B software at the centre of what they sell, and that show named SaaS clients on their own site. We dropped a few well-known names because we couldn’t confirm a current, SaaS-focused practice from their own site.
Then we compared them on five things:
| Criterion | What we looked for |
|---|---|
| Strategy | Do they work out positioning and messaging, or start at the screen? |
| Work quality | Named SaaS clients and case studies on their own site |
| Who does the work | Team size and how you work with them: project, retainer or embedded designer |
| Pricing transparency | Do they publish prices or ranges? |
| Startup fit | Do they work with seed and Series A companies, or mostly with large ones? |
On pricing, this group is unusually open. Five of the ten publish figures. In our survey of 100 studio websites, only 9% of studios published any price, and none of the 16 in the US did.

Its homepage shows Customer.io, Braze, LaunchDarkly, BambooHR, Salesloft and Merge. It publishes prices: focused branding from $15,000 a month, usually one to three months; a structural rebrand from $25,000 a month over three to five months; retainers from $5,000 a month.

Halo Lab
Warsaw and Boston, with 120+ people. Halo Lab designs and builds websites and products for SaaS, B2B and tech companies, and handles development. Its portfolio shows Praiseworthy, Pluto, Passion.io and Umano. It doesn’t publish a price list, but says projects start from $5,000, with fixed fees for branding and monthly fees for a dedicated team.
Best for: early-stage SaaS that wants the site designed and built by the same studio.
Huemor
Pittsburgh, founded 2011, with a team across eight countries. Huemor is a B2B digital agency for website redesigns, branding, SEO and AI search, on WordPress, HubSpot and Webflow. SaaS is one of its sectors, alongside construction and manufacturing; its homepage shows Cloudinary and Matroid. It says most website projects range from $50,000 to $100,000. It doesn’t do product UI.
Best for: B2B SaaS companies redesigning a marketing website that has to generate leads.
MetaLab
A remote team spread across 18 locations, including Vancouver, Toronto, New York and London, working since 2006. MetaLab says simply “we make interfaces”, designing and building products for startups and established brands. Its work page includes early product and brand work for Slack, a rebrand and site for Windsurf, web app work for Loom and Midjourney’s web interface. No prices on the site.
Best for: funded startups where the product interface is the main thing to get right.
Outcrowd
Registered in Lewes, USA. Outcrowd sells “design and brand acceleration for SaaS startups” from pre-seed to Series A: brand strategy, visual identity, websites, product and development. Its homepage shows Brainforest, Cybervergent, Financeable and Stable0x. It states a 30-hour minimum and projects from two weeks to five months, but no prices. Its site didn’t state a founding year or team size.

Phenomenon Studio
Tallinn, Lugano and Dover, Delaware, founded in 2019 with a team of 70+. Phenomenon works on SaaS UX (activation and retention flows, design systems, billing screens) and builds MVPs, with healthcare, fintech and edtech as its other sectors. It publishes “from” prices: website design from $5,000, web app design from $12,000, a product redesign from $14,000 and a rapid MVP from $20,000.
Best for: SaaS founders who need an MVP designed and built, or a product redesign, with a clear starting price.

Its work page includes brand and website for Descript, a website redesign for Clearbit, brand identity for Okta and micro-interactions for Salesforce’s Lightning Design System. No prices on the site.

How to pick between them
- Need product design capacity, now? Eleken’s subscription is the simplest way to start. MetaLab if you’re funded and the product is the whole bet.
- Need a brand? Focus Lab, Pony and Outcrowd lead with brand. Focus Lab is priced for growth stage, Outcrowd is built for earlier.
- Need a marketing site? Clay, Ramotion, Halo Lab and Huemor. Halo Lab and Phenomenon publish the lowest starting points.
- Check who does the work. Ask who will be on your project day to day, and whether that’s the team in the case studies.
- Ask what’s included. Strategy, copy and development are often priced separately. Our website cost guide and studio vs agency vs freelancer comparison help you compare like with like.
Whoever you hire, the first thing to get right on a SaaS site is the first sentence. In our audit of 110 SaaS homepages, only 21% opened by saying what the company does.
