A Shopify store in India costs ₹1,499 to ₹22,680 a month on yearly billing, plus apps for COD, GST invoices, reviews and WhatsApp that often add ₹4,000 to ₹25,000 a month. Because Shopify Payments is not available in India, Shopify also takes 0.6% to 2% of every Razorpay or UPI order.

Shopify only waives its transaction fee for stores using Shopify Payments, which is not offered in India. Every order paid through Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree or PhonePe carries Shopify's extra fee on top of the gateway's own 2% or so. Cash on delivery orders are exempt, but COD control apps are not free.
